My journey to good physical fitness began with yoga and evolved slowly. Yoga made me aware of my body and gave me confidence to branch out to other fitness activities. Eventually, I moved onto Pilates, Cardio-Kickboxing, Spin and muscle conditioning classes. It took years to really appreciate the benefits of regular physical exercise. Exercise easily falls to the bottom of priorities in the face of hectic modern-day schedules. But nothing beats a good workout for clearing stress and rejuvenating.
Yoga also introduced me to meditation and other holistic health practices. I remain skeptical of cleanses, energy work and diets sans animal protein but meditate on a regular basis.
