Can Farmer's Fridge Revolutionize Vending Machine Eating?
Vending machines suck. Especially when a boring afternoon at the office leads to a craving for a salty or sweet high-calorie treat. It takes incredible willpower to avoid the vending machine and go for a walk instead. But now there's hope for dieters and healthy eaters stuck in dreary workplaces. Enter Farmer's Fridge's healthy vending machine selling organic salads, cut veggies and fruits and nutritious, low-calorie snacks. Check out their website.
At present, Farmer's Fridge only has one vending kiosk located in at a food court in downtown Chicago. (Chicagoans can check out the map below.) And the potential cost presents a big drawback because scrounging up pocket change just won't do. Alas, Farmer's Fridge's website does not post the prices of their offerings but their vending machine accepts credit cards so we can expect prices upwards of $5 and more likely in the $10-15 range.
I have yet to sample their wares so I cannot vouch for freshness and flavor. But I plan to check it out soon so stay tuned...
